Christmas Station

Countdown to the Christmas Station (though it's much later than usual) has begun!

And no, I don't mean just for any of those radio stations that play Christmas music...and ESPECIALLY not for the ones that have already started playing it.

((Though, I must admit...I do listen to it sometimes...shhh...))

But the countdown for the REAL Christmas Station...you know, the original 24/7 Christmas music from the Friday after Thanksgiving through the week after Christmas.  Yes, that's right, 88.7FM...from the University of St. Francis.

Anyway...countdown is...

7 days!!

And I get to see my love in 5 days...that's even more exciting, I must admit.

Pictures...

These are from the wedding that Nick and I went to a few weekends ago.  It was an awesome time, and I can't wait til the next one in a few weeks...

At Nick's beforehand...

Love.

Cuteness.

Also cute...just ignore the groom's dad doing "bunny ears" in the background.

Obviously this wasn't from the wedding, but it was from the same weekend.

And this is obviously from summer...ignore the fact that we're so far away from each other (lol), and it's cute.

Back to this...

It's been quite a while...quite a long while actually since I've actually even written in this thing, but I'm feeling rather "journal" like tonight and have given up on the whole homework concept.  So why I have started this up again (besides for previously listed reasons)?

It's always seemed to help me to write down what's going on in my head, I don't know why...and it's not that I need someone to listen either.  I have an amazing boyfriend that listens to me like no one else has, not to mention how easy he makes it for me to come out with any and everything I have and have possibly thought about.    Even still, I've found that it's good for me to write stuff out...

So what's been going on with me, you ask?  Not much really...school is school, and I'm ready for Thanksgiving Break.  I haven't really figured out if I'm ready for break because I need a break from school, or if it's more that I want to see and be with Nick.  I'm thinking probably more the latter, but the break from school for just a few days will be nice too.  However, before that, I have an exam and a term paper to get through, but after that...thanksgiving break with my baby, including another wedding.

Other than that, really all I can say is that Nick is like no one else, and I love him like crazy.  Being away sucks like you wouldn't believe, but I wouldn't never make it being away from him without my roommates.  We laugh multiple times everyday, they're always there to make me smile...especially when I need it most, we share stories, frustrations, pretty much anything, and they pretty much know everything about me, even if I've never said or mentioned anything about it...it's really pretty crazy.

I have a feeling that there's gonna be more entries, more often than every 4-6 months, but I can't make guarantees...however, I can ensure that this will be used for pictures from events.  When I get a chance, I'll be sure to update with some, but for now...Laguna and relaxing time.  G'nite to all.

It's funny how the last time I wrote in this was about a week before I was leaving school to head home for "4 months of summer."  And now, as of today, those 4 months are now down to 4 weeks.  It's been quite an interesting summer, and has proven to keep up with the idea that I'm finally starting to learn alot from various experiences.

I've been working at the billing office for ATI physical therapy, and because of that, have had to fight to prove that fact that I still love being at the rink more than anything, and that my job there means the world to me.

My friendships and relationships with people have been tested, including with my best friend.

I've learned that sometimes you have to decide what you want and go with it...not what everyone else wants.  Being that I'm a huge people pleaser, I'm still somewhat struggling with this concept, but I think I've made some major progress.

I've learned that sometimes things may not go the way you planned, or even the way you'd hoped...but you need to figure out which are worth fighting for, and which you just have to say "fuck it" to.

I've also learned that some of the best things can come from the things you least expect them to.
Example:  Nick.
Let me tell you about Nick...I went to hang out with him the first time in probably almost a year (if not more) this summer on June 8th.  It was a Thursday night, about 11pm by the time we finished our text messaging war and decided what our plan was (how I remember dates and such like this, I have no idea...I wish I had a memory like that for school things).  I had no expectations for anything to come of it, but it did.  And it has been one of the best things I could've ever imagined.  I could probably go on and on about how amazing he is in my eyes, but I think that's really all that matters; is that he's amazing in my eyes.

It's weird to think that I'll be leaving what I call "home" in just a few weeks to go back to the other place I used to call home.  In a way, I'm excited, but in another way, at least as of now, I've finally found a reason for this, for Channahon, IL, to be home...and I don't want to leave it.  But, if things were meant to be, it'll still be here when I get back, not to mention the times that I'll be home in between.

Enjoy what's left of your summers...I know mine will be amazing, as I expect nothing else.

I'm out (like a trout )...much love to all.

So, remember how at this time next week, I'll have my car allll packed up, and be heading home for 4 months of summer?

I'm ready to be done with school, for at least a few weeks, and get to spend time at the rink and with Andrew, but let's face it...this has finally become my home, so to speak, and I'm going to miss the great, close friends (though few) insanely.

Good luck with finals to all, and happy summer!
